If you already ordered an IQ Shield LiQuidSkin screen protector for your Note 7, you probably already received an e-mail but if you haven't, well, you're getting a new one.

Apparently IQ Shield decided the fit around the home button wasn't top notch so they're issuing free replacements for everyone who ordered (and got theirs) already. Hopefully it will arrive before the phone does (hoping T-Mobile will do their thing and ship early :D ).

Here's the e-mail:
IQ Shield is always looking for ways to improve; especially when it comes to the quality of the products we offer. Even though it works, we noticed that our IQ Shield Galaxy Note 7 screen protector design did not meet our high standards, and could be updated to provide better fitment along the home button.

We took the liberty of creating a replacement order for your Galaxy Note 7 screen protector that will ship within 1-2 days, free of charge. Please note that you are not required to send back your original order. The IQ Shield Lifetime Replacement Program covers all manufacturer defects, including all fitment related issues. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

***Please note that you may receive the Amazon Fulfilled package before your updated replacement arrives.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact IQ Shield customer service. We highly value any feedback relating to our products or service.

They help, but they're not shatterproof and protection is minimal. It's more about protecting against scratches (writing with the S-Pen, if it catches a grain of sand, can cause them too!) rather than protecting against falls. Gorilla 5 glass, however, is supposedly way better at it than before, but still, the only way to add true protection to a screen is to add a tempered glass protector, and unfortunately, those aren't too good with curved screens.
