IR blaster?

Hello all. Just got my S6 yesterday and heard a bit about the IR blaster that came with the phone. How does this work? Does it support nearly all smart TV's? I've had many apps on all of my smart phones but non could be used as a remote for my Hisense smart TV.

Samsung uses Smart Remote, which really works well. I haven't heard of really anyone having an issue with getting it to work wit their TV. Now if you have a really, really old TV, not sure if it will still work, but certainly could.

The Peel app is fairly straightforward and walks you through all your entertainment devices, your tv and satellite/cable provider and BluRay/DVD.

Just checked the Smart Remote Peel app. If your phone doesn't show your brand when first setting up, and your brand did not show, click show all brands.

I did that setting up another test room and this is what I saw.
