Iris Scanner Remote?

I was wondering if there was a way to use the peel remote app with the iris scanner for TV remote control?

I can't say if it could or couldn't, but I started thinking about it. Does the iris scanner work rear facing?

If not, how would this work? Sit our back to the tv, hold phone over shoulder, use peel remote and turn back around?

I miss ir blasters too

I'm really not sure but I would be happy with a bootleg version of the original ir blaster!
