Just wondering how everyone is able to handle space on a 32gb phone. I'd ideally like to have the 64gb one but its not offered with the Canadian carriers and i dont want to buy it outright!

Plenty for me.
Moved pics, ringtones, wallpapers, etc from my previous device and still have like 20GB of space left. :)

Mav.

Sent from my Sprint Tri-Band Nexus 6.

I have to say, storage is definitely not a factor for me. I would always choose the lower capacity (cheaper) as my phone and tablet are generally for streaming, using apps, browsing, etc. I use my desktop or cloud storage for downloaded applications or backing up photos etc. For me, gone are the days when I wanted to store every movie, tv show and song on my device!

Just curious, why would you need 64GB?

I've owned 32GB phones for the last two years and I have been just fine with that. And although I can use SD cards, I rarely need them. Sure, after a while if you don't empty your pictures and videos, it will fill up... but as long as your media is off your phone to a cloud service or a local backup in your PC, storage shouldn't be an issue... UNLESS you're an avid gamer that just has to have 10 games installed with huge external downloads each. Then you'll miss the 64GB version.

I could easily live with 32 GB.... I only got the 64 GB because I was buying it outright and it was only $50.... My Nexus 5 was 32 GB and I still had 18 GB free as I stream most of my content and have my device set to upload pictures/video to my home computer when I am home on WiFi...

Actually i dont know lol
I now have a Galaxy S3, 16gb with a 64gb micro SD and I only have 18gb left. Im not a gamer but this has to be from all my pix and videos. I think i'll do a cleanup tonight (i got everything stored on cloud storage anyway) and see how much i have left. Im also very into music so I got a solid library of stuff in there too. I'll have to clean up and see but I know I dont have to hold onto all that media on my phone for that long. I just hate doing cleanup! lol

You can use your SD Card for music... For pictures I'd still rely on internal storage and cloud backups (too many corrupt SD Cards and one half-trip lost because of it to keep my pictures on SD cards anymore). I use the SD card solely for media consumption of files I have elsewhere, like movies and... yup, that's it haha I haven't used MP3 in years thanks to Spotify.

32gb, no problem.

I back up all of my videos and pictures to the cloud, and I'm pretty good about going through those things on my phone and deleting the ones that I don't need. I do keep some music on my phone, but not every song in my collection.

All that being said, I'd still take the 64gb version in a heartbeat over the 32gb... If I could find one. But since I can't, I'll be just fine with 32gb.

32 is probably enough but after having a 64 GB oneplus one and iPhone 6+, I prefer 64 GB and was able to get one today from the play store!

I'm pretty much the same. Ordered a 32 because that's what was available, but then went for the 64 because it's double the space for only $50 more.

The only way one would really "need" 64GB is if they were to do something that required more memory than they normally have free on a 32GB machine that couldn't be managed via streaming. The only thing I can think of is if one plans on doing a lengthy session of 4k video recordings, which can eat up storage *very* quickly. For most people, that's not a concern as there's been minimal adoption of 4k TV's at this point (and no reason to record in 4k if you don't have a means to view it back), and that won't likely change much before they'd also want to upgrade to a newer phone,

If I'd been able to get the 64GB, for only $50 more I'd have done it, but it would have been seeking the convenience and ability to be a little lazier about managing my storage. The only time I ever had any storage issues with my 32GB Nexus 5 was during about a week long trip where I recorded a few hours of HD video and the better part of 1000 pictures without convenient means to sync them to the cloud/PC (and I really could have managed that fine with a memory stick via USB OTG).

For me 32gb is plenty. I have all my movies and music up in the cloud between Vudu, Flixster, Google movies, music with Google play music. Also loaded some music into the phone as well as some movies and I still had 2.8 GB left.

If you utilize cloud storage effectively and aren't into having a lot of massive apps downloaded you should be more than fine with 32 GB of space.

Nothing but Note! A little rim, some backboard, but mostly Note!

32 GB has always been plenty for me. Would have been nice to nab the 64GB though.

64GB would have been nice and was what I originally had but had to send back with screen issues. Got the 32GB and while I could certainly go over that, I don't need to. I have about 5 GB left saved for future things like pics and video. I just have stuff on there in case I want to do anything offline like watch a movie or play music.

32 GB is good enough for me. I keep around 8gb of music on device otherwise apps and its enough for me

Same here. Just store movies for flights.

I have a 32gb N6...

I have all of my apps installed, plus ~3gb of media, and I still have 16gb left. So yeah, I'm going to be fine with 32gb.

But as I've said before, if 64gb was readily available, I would've acquired that flavor.

I'm bringing this thread back to see if folks are still satisfied with the 32 GB of space. I know it has been more then enough for me. I still have between 15 and 16 GB available and I don't feel like I've been particularly careful with space.
