Is 32gb enough for you guys?

It is plenty with unlimited data : )

32 is enough for me because I stream just about everything. Everything else like pictures and videos back up to the cloud. So I'm good.

I hear ya. The only reason I see for someone to want most of their stuff on the phone is because a data plan is very expensive in the country they live in. That I can understand. But most people in the states have very good data plans and can afford to keep things in the cloud and view/play their stuff at will.

I uploaded about 3,700 mp3's to Google Music and deleted all of them from my hard drive. They're not going anywhere, so I'm not worried. Plus I can listen to them from any net connected device, which is nice. My days of saving and hoarding stuff is over. I upload it and forget about it now.

Nope I'd be happy with 120gb. I have two daughters who use the phone for online school work movies TV shows music. I keep a note 3 with all that on it and just to transfer it as I need it but with unlimited data and cloud service I just download what I need from the cloud and remove it when I don't.

Well, we chose Android for a few reasons, once was the option for extra storage as needed, which seems to be forcefully removed and leaving us with less freedom to chose, I would never care about what storage was the phone to be purchased because I had the option to add my SD card to it and save what I wanted there.

Now 2015 the era of 4K video... they are making the new phones with 4K video capability and 32Gb of memory with no option to expand it, 10 minutes of 4K video could take how much? yes 3.75 Gb... so if you were planing on make a long video you are pretty much crippled, they also removed the USB 3.0 from the phone so good luck transferring 10GB of video via USB 2.0 or wi-fi or saving it on the cloud, cloud storage is free up to certain limit after that is a monthly paid service.

I am just very frustrated with this new era of walking backwards on progress, I was going to buy the Galaxy S6.. but now getting the S5 and staying with it. USB 3.0, removable battery, Expandable storage, dustproof and waterproof, that sounds more like an Android to me.

Samsung should release the Android version of the S6, yeah the one without the "premium feel" that many airheads need but the real freedom that Android users want. We all going to end up using a case on our phones anyways and guess what... the case does not have the "premium feel" is made of impact resistant materials... yes those... NOT Glass.

So, to answer you question 32 Gb is not enough storage for a phone that can use 1/3rd of it in a 30 minutes 4k video.

Sorry about the ranting but its really getting under my skin how much Samsung is losing to fill the need of a few that only use their phones as an accessory of fashion.

At this moment I have 21.8 gig (still have a few pics on my phone) left on my 32gig Nexus 6. I only keep the apps I actually use and backup pictures and video to the cloud (Google). I also keep my music on the cloud and stream it via Play Music.

Cloud music, cloud photos and videos...I have never needed more than 32 GB.

I don't have much issue keeping things in check with 32G..... the only time I started to get a little short on space was when I was carrying around a full set of TB backups, a nandroid backup from TWRP and maybe a secondary ROM using MultiROM.

I got a ton of apps, some pics and such... and I still have 14G free. That's a lot of space just sitting there

I think 32GB is probably good enough, however when I bought mine, it was $350 for 32GB, and $400 for the 64GB.

For $50 I felt it was worth it to upgrade just in case.

32gb is plenty for most people, with a few exceptions -

AAA gamers
People with 4K TV's
Travellers who spend long periods away from a decent internet connection & want access to a lot of media.
People who want access to a large selection of media on the go but have a small data allowance.

Coming from an 8gb nexus 4, 32 on my 6 is more than enough, I don't know what to do with it :D

64 gig is your best bet. If you plan on keeping your phone for a couple of years and having a few emergency videos for when needed.

Yeah, I'm going to end up going to the 64 myself. I have a 32G N6 and I have really no issues with any storage space. Now, I would have preferred to have had the 64G model, but those weren't available through T-Mobile... so I got the 32 and have no regrets. But, given the choice, I'd drop the extra $50 and have doubled things.

32GB is fine for me, micro managing storage is 2nd nature since I have been doing it so long on both PC's, Mac's, Servers, Phones, Tablets... When I hit Wifi all my Photos and Vid's are uploaded. So I can delete them and get them back any time. I stream all my music, since I have so much Data. Stream Netflix and Plex as well, as I am always connected. It is no problem.

It depends on the kind of user you're,
Currently am having a G3 32GB variant + SD card but am a heavy downloading fellow, taking a lot of photographs and recording videos
so that sometimes I run out of space on both the card and internal storage till I move some to my PC,
So as you fancy a pure Android device that provides no SD card option
A 64GB variant is wiser if you're a kind that keeps a lot of stuff and if you're to keep it for some two years before you upgrade taking the chance that you'll still be getting updates for almost up to 36 months Amazon is currently offering the 64GB variant for only 399$
And am planning to get one too.👌

Hey guys. I currently own a Galaxy Note 3 and iPhone 6 Plus but my husband just bought himself the Nexus 6 and loves it so much he's insisted on buying me one as well. My only issue is, I have about 67gb of movies on my Note 3 SD card and phone memory that I like to play using the pop up play video feature I'm obsessed with lol. I do have about 50gb of the movies stored in Dropbox and can use an app to pop up play the videos but the problem with dropbox is it won't let me stream the movies using a pop up video player, it has to export them to the phone memory for whatever reason. Anyone know of a way for me to store all of my movies some place where I can use a pop up player floating video mode and not have to export the movies due to limited storage I'll have obviously.
