Hi I have a note 5 originally Verizon so I assume it's unlocked I am trying to use on a bring your own device plan through simple mobile I have updated the apn settings but the data only works some of the time I'm assuming it's because it's a 4g lte device and sometimes I am only in 3g area would this cause limited connection in the note 5 and if so is there any way to make note 5 work in 3g and 4 g areas thank you for any help I can get reguarding this issue

I think the issue for you will be the network bands (frequencies) used by your network. Simple Mobile runs on T-Mobile's GSM network.Your Verizon phone doesn't have the network bands to fully communicate on the GSM network. It will work sometimes, but it will be somewhat unpredictable.

Yes, there have been times my Note 5 has reverted to 3G. Usually, poor connections inside buildings. Much slower speeds of course.
