Is a Nexus 10.1 coming soon?

If a nexus 10 is coming out consider it mine. I'll get that a nexus 7, an infinity tab, and a windows 8 tab. Yes I love gadgets hahaha

When the 3g Xoom was released it seemed like Moto had no plans for the WiFi version. I panicked and I bout. Lol. Hindsight being 20/20

I'd love to buy a Nexus 10, but there doesn't seem to be any real signs that it's happening, so I probably won't wait for it.

I'm considering replacing my iPad 3 with the Transformer Infinity. But I'm waiting for ASUS to address the IO performance issue and release Jelly Bean for it. Hopefully both will come in the next month or two.

So I'm guessing Google has until about September to announce a Nexus 10.

PS. Oh, and I almost forgot about the Amazon tablets. Supposedly they might have a bigger model coming. And it kinda sounds more real than a Nexus 10 at the moment. So I'll want to wait to see what a larger Kindle Fire looks like. I buy a lot of my content from Amazon already. Though I don't know if I really want Kindle's OS, will probably have to hope for good custom ROMs for it too.

I'm also thinking of getting the Transformer Infinity. I like the keyboard attachments for the Transformer tablets.

The reason why I want a tablet with an unlocked cellular modem is that I'm stuck in a contract on my mobile broadband line for another year or so.

I guess I could invest in a mobile hotspot, but that would be an added expense on top of an already expensive tablet.

I currently have the T-Mobile Galaxy Tab 10.1, which is still running Honeycomb! -__-

PdaNet tablet from the playstore will let you tether to your phone giving you internet on the go without having to buy a hotspot or pay for the service to be activated on your phone. It won't convert a 7" tablet into a 10.1" tho. I never thought I would like a 7" until trying it and now I actually think I prefer it for most things.

I just bought a Xoom a week ago off Newegg for $339 then got all the official accessories for super cheap off Newegg as well. I couldn't be happier. It more than holds it's own with Jelly Bean, every bit as fast as my Galaxy Nexus. I was going to hold out on the Nexus 10, but I needed a tablet now and didn't want to wait on an unconfirmed device. Honestly I'm happy I didn't wait. It's a beast of a tablet. I was thinking about the Transformer Infinity as I am an Asus fanboy and always use Asus motherboards in all my PC builds, but I just couldn't justify it since I could get the Xoom for $339 and know it will get every Android Update before any other tablet.

The Infinity is nice though, 1080p screen, etc. Though They'd have to really do magic with the scaling or else I'd fear a lot of Android App's wouldn't look very good. I know Apple has the new iPad scaled big time, same with their Mac Books.

I looked at the Nexus 7 too, but it didn't have the memory capacity I need, lacked a camera, and has a phone UI - though the UI isn't a deal breaker for us on this forum. Though I don't think Google movie rentals work on rooted devices, which would stop me from rooting.

Isn't the Xoom rather thick and bulky?

Um, how is clicking enable mobile hotspot on your cell phone an added cost?

I enabled my power control to toggle on and off with one button. its all the benefit of having a tablet with radios which no additional monthly carrier cost. #winning

It says he has a VZW Galaxy Nexus, which means unless he is using a tether app, clicking enable mobile hotspot will cost. You either have to have a data share plan or pay extra for just the hotspot.

If a Nexus 10 inch tablet were to come out, I'd probably get it since I'm such a gadget fanatic. I would probably just keep it home because I also have a 10 inch Touchpad with ICS and find it way too big to be portable after owning a Nexus 7. My Nexus 7 goes with me everywhere and wouldn't consider taking out anything larger.

I think given the success this tablet had , Google will possibly think to release a much improved version of the current one.

With everything this one is lacking. Then this tablet will kill everything in sight.
Forget 10 inchers and the like.

I don't think it lacks much given the price its offered for. You get the most bang for your buck. There are more expensive tablets that fall behind the N7 as far as value, performance and specs. It's already a hit and it's going to raise the bar for other OEM's.

Carriers can add the Hotspot feature to your plan automatically if they catch you using it.
