Is a Nexus 4 a better deal than insurance?

So I have insurance through ATT. $6.99 a month and a $199 deductable.(Yeah I know)

So 2 years Insurance plus the deductable is more than the 16GB.

1 year plus ded is almost as much as the 8GB.

So does it make sense to have a fun spare?

Will they sell the unlocked version anywhere else?

Square trade is probably a better deal. $99 ish for 2 years and I think $70 for a year. I'm personally going to just get a year from them since I'll likely upgrade the phone next year.
