Clean Master. Is it really doing anything good? Or is it just killing my battery?

Kills battery if you leave the Memory boost option turned on, I had to uninstall it because it got my phone to overheat by zealously kill apps. I prefer for cleaning old files the CCleaner. Just don't check the option to kill processes and everything will be alright :)

I used to use it it helped a lot on my S3 but I didn't notice it doing any good on my M8. When I find my phone getting slow or stupid I tap the recent app soft button on the bottom right, wait a few seconds for the notification bar to clear out and then tap the X and close all open apps. That's all CM was doing anyway, so why have another app to perform the task already built into the phone?

Memory (RAM) cleaners/boosters/optimizers are useless. There are some cleaners that work on things like caches, temporary files, duplicate files, etc that are taking up storage space. Many times one app bundles several those functions together. There's nothing wrong in using those other functions and leaving the memory function alone.

Agree with what has been said.

I run this app every so often to get rid of junk files and cache.

Don't let it do anything automatically.
