Is Android Market Region Locked?

I was just wondering and not very educated on whether the market is region locked. I imported my Nexus from Europe and am using it in the states, and was wondering if I'm using the European or American market? I've realized that some apps are unavailable for the phone that id like to have. Such as MyWireless for AT&T and to take advantage of some deals.

Anyway someone could shed some light on this for me?

Yes it is region locked. If you want that app you either have to find the apk or get market enabler
