Samsung Galaxy S9 Region Unlock question

I recently purchased a Galaxy S9 phone from Europe and has my European country SIM card. I am planning to take the phone with me to the USA.

The phone is Region Locked and requires to make and receive calls for 5 to 10 minutes using my local European country SIM.

My question is, are these 5 to 10 minute calls need to be one SINGLE continuous call or over a period of time until the 5 to 10 minute mark is reached?

I thought that restriction had been lifted... anyway, it's total time, not single-call (and I thought, too, that it was only a single call at any duration that would do it... they just want the phone to be activated in the region it's intended for sale).

Restriction lifted??? Can you please provide a source to this?
And what do they mean by "lifted"?
Does this mean No Region Lock at all? Or, are they referring to the amount of time to call with the local country's SIM?

Thanks!
