Is anyone else annoyed by the lollipop Phone icon?

Don't bothered by new icon but not happy that old messenger is stuck around.

Yes, that's annoying me too. I downloaded the new Google Messenger which fits into the theme much better but there doesn't seem to be a way to disable the standard messaging app so it still sits in the app tray. :(

The purpose for the icon is carriers are using and developer code helping Google to find all of the bugs. If it wasnt Official CM would be out and I would be using it.

I'm not sure I quite understand what you mean. Can you clarify?

CM is out for some devices. Though it's mostly unofficial ports. I have an SGS3 Mini and I'm running a stable port of CM12 (all except video recording and F2FS working).
It's just that CyanogenMod themselves haven't released it. I think they're focusing on ending with CM11 first.

As for the icon. I can see where your coming from and that would bug the hell out of me. Constancy is key with any GUI (that's what I think anyway)

Official cyanogen mod it does not have the source code for the official 5.0 firmware because it does not exist yet the developer source code does and that is what is being used for the artificial cyanogen mod build
