Is anyone on Project Fi yet?

I have some questions for you::

1. Does Fi have conditional call forwarding?

2. Do you have a Google Voice number?

3. If so, I know it has to be in a different account than Fi. Given that, can you use Fi with the Google Voice app?

Thanks for your help.

Android since v1.0. Linux user since 2001.

Google waited too long for me. Lost interest in both this and my N6. Also realized that VZW coverage is superior where I frequent.

I got an invite today and have ordered my Sim card. I am going to try it on my Nexus 5 and see if it works. The app seems to work on the phone aside from it asks for a Sim card. If it does not work, I will order a Nexus 6. TMobile in my area has LTE, but I have recorded 109 Mbps on AT&T LTE on my Note 4 in my area.

I live in SC USA and requested my invite on 4/22 @ 2:03pm.

1) Not that I've seen, but I could be wrong.
2) I used to, but Fi wiped that out. voice.google.com now redirects me to fi.google.com

I know you havent been using the service long, but have you had any issues yet? I'm curious to see how the service works in real life with switching between the two networks and WiFi.

People were concerned about battery life since the phone constantly looks for stronger signal and does the switching

11 more days before my 30 days is up. I wonder if everyone will receive an invite by or before their 30 day window.

As stated from the Project Fi website "If you requested an invite, you’ll hear from us in 30 days or less. Check your inbox for your invitation! "

Where in SC are you, I am in the Greenville area and requested an invite around the same time, still no invite.
Thanks

I live in the Columbia area. I also have Google Glass, a Chromebook Pixel, 2 Nexus Players, a few Nexus tablets and 4 gens of the Nexus phones, so I may have been given some priority. Or, I am just lucky. I read the the first round of 500 invites were picked by Google employees based on people they knew that requested invites, which is not my situation.

Ha ha, you definitely may have got lucky. I've had every Nexus phone created, and every Nexus tablet, have a Chromebook Pixel and even an Nexus Q. You got me beat on Google glass, never got that but, you also ordered a day before me.

I did see my cell network icon flip to an exclamation point once and had to toggle cell data to get it back. Other than that, it's been smooth sailing so far. I never saw the battery issue the reviewer described. I'll experiment more today with the switching off wifi to cell.

I too am wondering what they will do at the end of 30 days. Is it possible they send us emails saying "Thanks, but we don't need you."?

I got my Fi Sim card last night and put it in my Nexus 5. My Google Voice number is not ported yet, so calls and text do not work. But, data is working, but painfully slow. A SpeedTest.net test showed a ping of 21ms and 0.05 Mbps DL & UL speeds.

I can use GMail without any issue, but web browsing is horrible.

My guess is they are blocking or throttling my Nexus 5 and I need to go ahead and order a Nexus 6. Or, the speeds will be faster when the number is ported. Either way, I am surprised the Sim works any in my Nexus 5.

Whoa. It actually accepted it? I thought it'd give an error of some sort. Interesting. Have speeds improved any yet?

Well, I would not say it accepted it yet. Will wait and see how it acts after the GV number port if finished. The DL and UL speeds are still the same. I can get email in GMail and do Google searches and get the text results. But, when I try to navigate to any normal page it is slower than dial up and sometimes it appears to timeout.

So it's been a few days since you've used the service. Do you have any initial thoughts about it? Think you'll keep it?
