Is anyone (other than me) happy?

I am completely happy, my batter life is real good, the phone is fast, the screen is huge and the speakers sound real good. Oh lets not forget Sense I love that shtuff.

I do not have any complaints about my Thunderbolt. I have more than adjusted to battery life, and everything that comes with android is awesome. I am so glad I made the jump from blackberry, and I'm also glad that the Bolt was there waiting for me when I did. The next 20 months are going to be great.

Awesome phone! I am so glad that I found this site and decided to wait to get the Thunderbolt over the iPhone 4.

I love it. My first Android and it is great. I was showing an iPhone user how great it was to be able to customize homescreens, etc. and I think I made him jealous. :)

Awesome phone,

now that I rooted (for my first time ever) I've become a custom ROM/kernel junkie.

I have had my Thunderbolt since the first hour it was on sale and I still can't put it down. I am completely happy with the device. The build quality is awesome and I love sense.

To fix the problem with the stock messaging app force closing go to the home screen...

Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Messages>Clear Data

I had this issue as well and it drove me crazy. A fellow user helped me solve this issue so I just wanted to let you know the fix that helped me out.

That was my only issue with the phone and now that it is fixed, the phone is so amazing!

I like my HTC Thunderbolt and I liked my old G1 it was just out of date as well my first smart phone. I prefer 4.3 inch display one because everything looks better on bigger screen second I am a clumsy texter and need the room. I went from vanilla G1 to sense Thunderbolt. I have to admit I honestly did not do much with G1 as far widgets and customizing goes I mainly just browsed the web. Those with Thunderbolt HTC Sense is very nice and appreciate more that the other UIs out their I sort of miss the clean layout of my G1. The HTC Thunderbolt is great devices and with new found speed and more abilities over my G1 I have dove into far more into customizing the phone then I ever had before. I rooted my HTC Thunderbolt and am waiting on CM7 yes I like HTC Sense but like vanilla more. I would wait with the Nexus S if it was on Verizon and wasn't made by Samsung nothing wrong with Samsung just do not like fit and finish of their products. The HTC Thunderbolt is good phone and what I expected.

Happy? How 'bout pickled tink! I'm in Starbucks right now, I'm using the Mobile Hotspot on the ThunderBolt and a call comes in. It's a client (I'm an IT consultant). I'm talking to the client and need to access the web. My Mobile Hotspot TBolt session is still active. So I put him on speaker and access numerous pages on the Internet and email on the Internet using my laptop while still talking to my client.

Am I happy? What do you think! :)

Edit: Forgot to mention, had a coupla emails pop in on the phone during that time too. Wow... iPhone4 my xXX! :)

Is this a rhetorical question? Of course I love my bolt received mine the day after it came out and haven't looked back since. It really makes me appreciate what I have with it and makes me wonder how I made it through my last contract with such a crappy phone before and what I was missing out on in the android world. The 4G in my area paired with this phone constantly has me ditching the pc when I would normally need it and has made my access while mobile improve 100 fold, Im easily 10x more productive with this thing and the 4G is the icing on top of the cake

I am def not impressed, i think i was expecting more because everyone talking about how much they loved it and how its the best thing since blue toilet water.
I have found it so buggy from sms being sent to wrong people, jittery interface. Hangs on edge for long periods of time even with the suggested fixs. I have had 3 random reboots today with no third party apps installed.
Im not a lefty so the volume and power button are akward for me. The USB port is on the bottom so i cant kick stand it and charge at the same time.

i wrote a automated root script that allows me to root it without touching the sdcard or enter any commands besides the space bar and what i have to do with fastboot but still its a long winded process with huge file downloads.

ill keep working on the automated root to make it as simple as possible but beyond that im over this phone

sounds like you got a bad phone. The sms bug is a known issue in Android itself. I use handcent and have yet to run into that problem on the OG Droid, Fascinate or Thunderbolt.

Wow I'm sorry, I'm having none of those issues. What rom and kernel are you running? It'd be a shame to hate this phone over something fixable.

this is pretty much all stock , including the downgraded and upgraded versions aswell, im sure that one of the roms and kernels will fix it but the form factor also bugs me, im sure its hard to cater to rightys and leftys either way someone is left out in the cold, but i just hate having to re-adjust to put the thing to sleep or to adjust the volume. Just the combination of things.

Im not saying its a horrible phone and that i hate it, im just not as impressed as i felt i should be after all the fanfare.

ill try to right up some tutorials on how to flash a rom and kernel if i can get that done before i return it. I also found a way to impliment some improvements onto cory's root thread that will reduce some of the problems that people have had rooting. I'm still debating on the automated method because it works great but if there is an error it will be tough for someone new to adb process to pinpoint the mistake and fix it themselves.

yep sounds like a bad phone. No reboots at all also the same for the other 2 bolts in my family.
