I forgot to say. The battery on the EVO isn't as horrible as you may think. For the first couple of days or so, you may get through it really fast, in a few hours. After several cycles, I get about a day's use light/ moderate use. Less than the N1 but between 10 and 14 hours, which is still pretty good.
Is anyone thinking about leaving the Nexus for the Evo

I have hand hands on with Droid, iPhones, Nexus one and This past week the EVO. I am going to get a N1
I have average hands for a guy 5'11 and to me the EVO is just a wee bit to big for my taste. Add a case and it's just too much for me. Yes the screen is sexy, but not really that much more so than the N1 & if screen size is your biggest factor for choosing a phone, get the EVO. Other wise I like the N1, of all the phones, it just feels the best.
EVO has crashed/rebooted 1 once this week mid conversation. And froze once unlocking the phone.
Sound quality is not as good as the N1. I also think the voice2text is better on the N1. (maybe the 2 mics???)
I guess if your a phone gamer or watch a lot of video get the N1.

I received an EVO4G at I/O and I have played with it a little bit since then.
Personally I prefer my Nexus One for many reason not the least of which is Vanilla Android which just seems more responsive and less intrusive than SENSE.

I am thinking of going from EVO to AT&T N1. But haven't been able to handle an N1 yet. Does Tmo have these in stores now to check out?
I have been using an EVO for a few weeks and as a device it is great with a few shortcomings...
+ front camera - don't care now but when skype comes front camera will be huge plus
+ typing on huge screen in landscape is faster than my old slider which I thought had great keyboard (att tilt)
+ huge screen again - can read most webpages in landscape without zoom - might need to hold N1 closer
+/- no issues with sprint coverage but do notice times when 3G or 4G speed is more like 2G
+/- 4G is fast, maybe average 2x average 3G speed, but doesn't penetrate into interior of my office building as well and no 4g at home
- fairly often hit search button accidently and occasionally trigger a touch of screen just from fingers holding the edges
- battery doesn't seem great but does get me through a day, for the screen tradeoff I don't think battery is all that bad

+ everything loads and runs smoothly

Can anyone comment on ATT 3G with N1? I have heard some mixed reviews of that and some other issues that may be particular to the ATT variant. I don't even know what the coverage is like in my area because the 3g wont work on my tilt, but iphones users don't seem to have any issues. Thanks

^ I can't talk about AT&T because the coverage here is terrible, so I would never consider one of their phones but I had the N1 on TMo for a while, and really enjoyed the phone ... when I had coverage. Some spots are good and the phone is snappy, responsive, a real pleasure. Some spots have lesser coverage and the phone just sits there waiting for data to download.

I forgot. The capacitive buttons on the EVO are more responsive than those on the N1. On the N1, you'll also hit the search key accidentally if you're not careful, but the buttons have to be touched from the top half to respond. The bottom half is not responsive. People have complained about that, too, personally I find it helps not hit the buttons accidentally. Hope that helps.

Also, I do a little bit of driving in the morning and afternoon and like to stream music from the phone. I cannot get a constant enough 3G signal. Music keep stopping and restarting. With iPhone 3G on ATT it wasn't an issue.
Now that I read about HSPA+ here in the metroplex, I am thinking more and more about the N1 and switching before my 30 days are up.
Anyone have any experience with the N1 on Tmo and streaming from RadioTime while driving? Also, can anyone comment on HSPA+ on Tmo?

You're gonna want to ask people in your area. Out here, it's the opposite. TMO is spotty and Sprint is solid. I guess it depends where you are.
I ended up getting the EVO eventhough I ***loved *** the N1. In the end, the network coverage is the most important.

I had an EVO for a month and an ATT N1 with froyo for the past week. I had to get adjusted to the N1, but have decided to stick with ATT for the plan value and I now like most of the things about the N1. Biggest limits to me are that the browser on N1 is not quite as good as EVO (I can't enter text in some drop down windows that I can on EVO, it seems slower to render, and too often doesn't respond to scrolling or pinching for a moment), though flash is a plus on N1. The other big gripe that I have is N1 call volume especially in earpiece (I don't think it is adequate in a noisier environment), but speakerphone volume isn't great either. The EVO speaker or earpiece sound excellent. Of course the EVO screen is gorgeous and I don't think it is too big at all; N1 AMOLED has nothing over EVO LCD, but N1 screen is adequate. EVO's front camera would be cool on occasion once skype is released. Otherwise nothing else that I miss from the EVO, so I will be happy with my N1 on much cheaper family plan. Plus N1 froyo has wifi tethering option.
Side by side my nexus amoled is far superior to The evo screen. Colors are just gorgeous in comparison. Not sure what you mean by that.
