Is anyone's Epic actually sleeping?

Try what i mentioned above with setting the WiFi sleep policy to never. My phone has been working perfectly since then.

I am trying to find out if anyone else can duplicate the results.

I mentioned this to someone else yesterday. I had tried all the other tweaks including locking down all the drm and media hub instances with Autostarts. When I changed my Wifi Sleep Policy to Never my battery performance went from draining 10% an hour to 2-3%. I was on track for over 24 hours of battery on a full charge.

Another thing is to REALLY pay attention to the details of an app install or look at the running applications. Some specifically list that they will prevent the phone from sleeping (Facebook is an example). So widgets like these MAY be part of your battery issues as well.

This is my experience:

Last night I checked the *#4636*1111# menu. This is what I got approximately:

5 hours of the phone being unplugged; and, about 27 minutes of "phone not in sleep".

When I got home I used the iternet with a little wifi. Left it on over night. Plugged the phone in and slept. Woke up this morning unplugged the phone. Turned the wifi off. Got in the car. Plugged the phone back in while listening to music. Got to work. Unplugged it. 2 hours of non sleep time with the phone being unplugged for 3 hours. Never touched it after I got to work because I was busy doing things.

What caused it... After I rebooted the phone it's sleeping normally now. Is this the wifi issue that will be fixed even though it was turned off?

I get 60% time without sleeping with WIFI on and set to 'Never'. That's vs 9% with WIFI off.

I've been getting really bad battery since I got the phone on launch day 2 months ago.
It would only last about 6 hours.

I checked spare parts, and my phone wasn't sleeping at all!

Formatted, and it was finally sleeping. Installed my apps and the phone wasn't sleeping anymore.

After another format, we're doing better once again. I'm now slowly installing apps and seeing if the phone is sleeping.
