Is Atrix worth keeping for another year?

I've really been enjoying my Atrix. I came from a Blackberry Torch 9810 device..I've always liked BB, but I always just felt so limited on everything that I could do. The Atrix is definitely great for me. I have an upgrade coming up in July, so I'm sure I will upgrade, but will hang on to my Atrix as a good spare.

I love my Atrix. The display size is large enough to do what I need to yet it's small enough to still fit in my pocket w/o feeling like I've got a massive lump in it.
Atrix: 5.00 in? = 4.64 x 2.50 x 0.43
Nexus: 4.98 in? = 5.33 x 2.67 x 0.35

Overall they are the same volume. The Atrix is thicker. The Galaxy Nexus weighs exactly the same (4.76 oz). If the Nexus is a massive lump, is the Atrix a massive lump as well?

The Atrix 2 at 5.07 in? (4.96 x 2.59 x 0.40) is bigger than a Galaxy Nexus overall. The Atrix 2 at 5.18 oz weighs more than the Galaxy Nexus, LG Nitro HD, Infuse, and Epic 4G Touch.

So I'd love ICS, but I'm not holding my breath for it..

The Atrix is just too little to display the new Ice Cream Sandwich components like Recent Apps, etc. Even if someone found a way to get ICS on the Atrix, would you want it?

That is the rumor why we may not see ICS on the RAZR any time soon. 4.3" low def is not going to be pretty. ICS needs HD and screen space.

The Galaxy Nexus is the same weight and volume as the Atrix but has the bigger screen and HD that ICS really needs.

See the spec comparison of the Atrix, Atrix 2, and Galaxy Nexus.

Also see the Phone Comparison for specs on a dozen recent phones.

But if your Atrix does everything you need, do you need to get a new phone? And really what it comes down to is what feels right to you. Phones are like shoes. Get what fits you.

True ICS might not come to the atrix in the form of an official upgrade but when and who does actually like official upgrades? By the time you get an upgrade its already outdated......instead flashing ROMs keeps you up to date for example CM7 is based of 2.3.7 no motorola upgrade is even there yet....and with CM9 on the way you bet we will get a taste of stock ICS.

Keeping it, nothing out there right now that's anything special or anytime soon.

No software to even take advantage of the power we already have.

Well guys.. i dont even know how to say that... But i've been offered an "exceptional upgrade" on Tuesday this week on my 4 lines and decided to try out Samsung GS II Skyrocket. its been a few days since I'm testing this phone and I like it more and more. So most likely my Atrix will go on ebay soon... I wouldnt get any new phones for their full price but with exceptional upgrade i got skyrocket for $200 and thats about how much used atrix costs on ebay... I know i created this thread and I sound really stupid right now. lol but it looks like there are actually phones better than the Atrix out there lol.(well at that's how my experience with skyrocket been for this few days) So sorry guys dont bash too hard me please lol :)

better how, i'm sorry?

Future doesn't look too bright for current ATRIX users looking to upgrade to a phone compatible with the laptop dock. I expected maybe something from Motorola / AT&T at CES, but AT&T doesn't look like they're putting out any Motorola LTE devices any time soon. I'm in no rush to upgrade, because I doubt LTE will be available in my area any time soon, but it'd be nice to have something to look forward to.
