I'm absolutely in love with this phone. But I need to know if battery is really that bad.

My battery was good the first couple weeks now not so much. I wouldnt call it "bad" but I used to have about 40% when i come home from work now its like 15%
The battery life is beyond inconsistent. Some days I am so impressed with the battery life because I will get six and a half hours of on screen time with 19 hours off the charger then the next day I'm lucky to get 5 hours screen on time with 7 hours off the charger doing nothing different than the day before. It's the inconsistency in the battery life that pi**es me off

How in the world does any one find the time in a day to stare at the screen for six plus hours lol. Not knocking any one but during the work day I average about 1.5 hours max, then maybe another two hours personal at night.
Phone easily last me an entire day with out trying, I also have a quick charge in the car if needed and I keep a qui charger on my desk at work.

Not that bad but not that great. It's about moto x 2014 for a good comparison.

If you think 3 hours SoT is great, then no, the battery is not really that bad.

The issue is less about SoT and more about standby drain. Mine lasts all day because I don't use it much. It drains 4% or more per hour while in standby, so it's good for about 20 hours between charges if not used at all, or about 14 hours if used for 2 hours or so. For me it's fine and the user experience is great. Wish it lasted better, but have given up trying to tweak it to death to fix it.

How are you only getting 3 hours? I get between 5-6 hours of screen on time. My best was 6 hours 52 minutes
the battery is absolutely terrible. unless you have a job where you can just plug it in to an outlet or computer all day, don't expect it to last very long.
Completely disagree. I'm on verizon but was connected to my wifi at work today. I wanted to test my quick charger in my car so I decided to try to drain my battery. I don't disable much (Google now on, high accuracy location, auto brightness) I was streaming music from Google play with the screen on and some texting and I was over 3 hours SOT with 7 hours total use and about 55% battery. The only thing that finally got my battery to dra I need faster was using Google maps as my GPS.

I will say that my average day I use my phone far less so I'm usually around 1.5 hours SOT and probably at 50-60% after a full day. I'm sorry that others are having battery life problems but I've been happy with mine. I've also loved the snappiness and screen quality so much that I've found my ipad stays on the coffee table more. Well see if that holds true as the newness wears off
