Is built-in S5 flashlight safe?

I just read on Tech Times that the top 10 downloaded flashlight programs are all spyware. Does anyone know if the flashlight app that comes with the S5 is safe to use?

Those apps are "spyware" because they are often ad-supported. The built in app is likely not ad-supported do it should be safe.

If you want a safe flashlight app, find one that doesn't want access to ANYTHING when you install it. A flashlight app doesn't need access to your contacts, web and search history, location history, etc.
