I am using a Samsung A05s that I purchased 4 weeks ago. Yesterday the battery was empty and the smartphone turned off, now I can no longer turn it on. The battery does not seem to charge anymore when I connect it to the charger. I do get a short "vibration" as is normal when connecting, but the screen remains black. The power button does nothing. I have used different cables and chargers and none of them offer a solution. Also power button + volume up, power button + volume down for 15 secs does nothing.
So, I should have it repaired, I think it is a software issue.. I have hardly used it and never dropped it or anything like that. It also worked normally until it turned off.
Now I have a question: Can a repair center access my documents/user account when I send it in for repair?
I have a number of personal files on the device: photos, scans of financial documents, medical documents etc. I do not want anyone to be able to see them.
The smartphone uses Android 14 and I never logged in with an Google account on the device… I'm using a password for login. Can a repair center access my documents when I send it in for repair? I never set anything special in terms of encryption or something like that on the smartphone.. Is data protected by default on an Android 14 smartphone? I have no chance to do a factory reset since the smartphone does not turn on anymore..
