Yes, you can use the EE03 Gingerbread modem on a EC05 Froyo based ROM. I use it on ACE 2.0.

Ok. I flashed EC05 modem a few days ago & wanted to try EE03 modem on my phone.

If I Odin the EE03.tar file, will it delete my apps?

I really liked ACE 2.0. Can I install ACE ROM on EE03? I thought they were 2 different formats (RFS vs. EXT4)

I would love to improve my signal. I get decent 4G coverage most places, but to extend and enhance that would be great.

No it wont delete your apps if you flash the modem only. You can install the modem with no problems and file system wont matter. If you flash the ROM, itself, thats when you loose everything (because you MUST wipe)

Swiss Cheese second post says: How do I flash the modem in Odin? Put your phone in Download mode by holding 1 on the keyboard and the power button until you get to a yellow triangle. Connect the phone to USB. Open Odin, load the PIT in PIT and the modem in PDA (or Phone - both work). Uncheck everything on the left except Auto Reboot. Click the big button.

Just to make something clear before frankwhite comes asking.. There is NO PIT FILE for the modem so don't go looking.. Just put the modem in PDA slot and click Auto Reboot and Start.

Can confirm EE03 modem works on SRF 1.1.0


I tried out swiss cheese for a few days, then reflashed SRF 1.1.0, but didn't change the modem. Baseband still shows EE03 and all is well.

EE03 modem should work on Froyo EB13/EC05 and Gingerbread Leaks ED12/EE03
