Sorry, you've lost me. What do you mean by "if 45w is little lower"?
If the 9pro only charges at 27w, it doesn't matter whether you're using the 30 or 45w chargers...you're not maxing out the speed of either and the charging time would be the same with either one, no?
Exactly it's just marketing to get people to purchase a new adapter. Very deceptive if you ask me.

You do know that none of the pixels can actually charge at 45W. No different than the 45W adapter that Samsung sells.
I'm pretty sure any manufacturer whatever rated watts it is, it's not going to charge highest Watts constantly and will vary and not often to its fullest rating.

I will say one last thing and then we could carry on with the conversation but I've never been a fan of all these all my phone charges in 30 minutes 20 minutes I can get it up to this, I have 100 w charger. I've been using an older Samsung fast charge brick along with a few others that gets the job done quick enough.

To be clear, I've not experienced any excessive heat with my P8P. I have just noticed that it does get warm once in a while. Not a big issue to me, just an observation.

I understand that the Pixel 9 comes with Gemini as the default assistant. Can you change that and use the old assistant instead?

I'm confused about the following passage on the Gemini Google Support page:

"Gemini is still learning, so Google Assistant will help power some familiar quick voice action features. This includes prompts like when you ask it to:
  • Create or modify alarms and timers.
  • Make calls, send messages, and read incoming messages.
  • Control your device, like turn on your flashlight or bluetooth, or open an app.
  • Control your lights, home security, and other smart home devices.
  • Broadcast messages on connected devices in your home.
  • Find out what song is playing."

How does this work in practice on the Pixel 9? Does Gemini first come up and then if it's a task it can't handle, does the old Assistant pop up?

I'm a P8 Pro user who very often asks the Assistant to "play the news" and it always successfully goes through my news podcasts in order. Does Gemini do that?

Do P9 folks feel that Gemini is an upgrade over the old GA? Are you enjoying it?

You can choose your assistant but haven't experimented yet
