I've been using an android phone from a domestic brand of our country. What I want to know is that is excessive gaming harmful for my device?

Welcome to Android Central! It's not bad. The main issue might be an overall decreased battery lifespan in the long run, since playing certain games can be very CPU and battery intensive, leading to more frequent charging, which then leads to the battery wearing out a little sooner than normal. And the other concern would be the possibility of adware or malware, depending on where you get the games from.

Just like any processor, excessive heat will slow it down over time and as mentioned previously the battery will take a hit. I don't ever worry about that because I switch out my phone about every 2 or 3 years and my experience is that the phones do just fine for about that amount of time.

Yup, I agree with the comments above, I believe a good way notice it is considering how much your laptop or computer performs worse after a few years. Gaming can accelerate this process.

this leads me to the question does it matter if the phone is on the charger while playing?
i mean for the battery lifespan.

Continue playing games will require frequent charging, which degrades the performance and reduce the lifespan of your phone

The lifespan of any battery will slowly drop with charging where its connected to the charger or not. Its how the tech works, unfortunately.
