Is Google release the kernel and device source code of the Pixel smartphone?

Google has released the source for Nougat, which is the underlying OS and the part that is open-source. I imagine Pixel-specific stuff is not going to be released, much in the same way Samsung doesn't release the source code for TouchWiz (they don't, right?).

Answered my own question. It looks like Samsung has released code for some of the add-on apps but the primary TouchWiz (which is a skin akin to what Google added to Android for the Pixel) is NOT on there. Samsung Opensource Release Center

Correct - even though the Linux license requires that any add-ons to Linux be open source, evidently Linus feels it's not cost-effective to sue a large number of phone manufacturers. Some parts are released, other parts aren't - by all manufacturers.
