Is "Gorilla Glass Armo(u)r" Magic?

I am not on board with this assumption. Consider this...the anti-reflective properties are NOT on the top layer of the screen but rather are built in to the glass or exist as a coating on the underside of the screen. Therefore the top layer is still CLEAR glass! I feel that putting another thin layer of clear glass on top of the screen will not stop the anti reflective elements in the screen itself. Time will tell!
Well, first off I think you're confusing refraction and reflection...

But also do try to bear in mind that I'm not making assumptions here. I'm making actual observations with an actual S24 Ultra and some actual screen protectors.

I've used The Official Samsung Anti-reflecting one and an ESR tempered glass one.
And what are the results? I was simply going on what "seemed" like a logical argument...but I readily admit that I do NOT know exactly how this new GG is accomplishing this feature! So do screen protectors negate the feature, or do they make no real difference?

The Zagg Fusion XTR3 is very expensive but claims to do everything, including be anti-reflective.
Was there a version on this screen protector for the S23 Ultra and was it worth the money?

Is that one a glass one? I know Best Buy only had that one and the fusion one we have now that my husband doesn't like. They don't carry the new glass infusion one.

Amazon UK does seem to have the S22 ultra and s23 ultra versions, but not the one for the s24 ultra lol

This one is not glass. Some type of hybrid polymer.
What is it that your husband doesn't like?

I don't know he just said he wanted a glass one this time he didn't like the fusion one that we have on our phones now or our old phones for 23 I don't know what he doesn't like about it

My S23 developed fine scratches from being in my pocket or back pack. The only thing that could have caused them were coins or keys
Only thing that goes in my pocket with the phone is.... nothing. 4 year into an S20+ and the screen has no visible scratches. If one puts metal objects in the pocket with the phone of course it's going to get scratched.

That's just it....I don't recall any coins or keys in my pockets when I got the scratches

Coins and keys are probably not the cause...tiny bits of silica...sand...which is everywhere around us can be transferred to our pockets very easily. It may be as fine as dust but HARDER than our screens. A little slipping and a little sliding and voila you got scratches. Evidently this latest GG Armor can actually withstand such scratches!

It was mostly one long scratch...very fine and only visible at certain angles. Completely invisible with a screen protector on top. I feel like it wasn't even the glass and maybe just the Oleophobic coating if that's possible.

S23+ was the first mobile ever that did I not apply screen protection on.

No scratches so far. I take it everywhere and snap photos while mountain biking, hiking, ...

It just got sidelined by S24+ with even "better" screen protection ;)
