Not to me. Since Google allows unlimited full resolution photos and 4K videos backup, I can just remove the pictures and videos to save room.

I thought the same for phones with no guaranteed updates, no warranty to cover versus Easter damage despite having higher rated Easter resistance, lesser support, inability to work on all major networks, etc...

The Pixel and Pixel XL do have some water resistance and even the iPhone 7 isn't waterproof. It's more water resistant than the Pixel phones but warranty still doesn't cover water damage.

SD card support is overrated. Just enough reliable enough.
