Yea I read about root. I'm going to wait a bit myself to make sure the hardware is OK before voiding the warranty. I don't see a lot of development for our tablet. Would be nice to get an AOSP build for it. At least with root and twrp it should be possible to create a bloat free rom. TW needs to die. Lol. I've got the GEL on here now and that helps. I will say compared to my Xoom this thing flies! Really loving it so far.

Don't you lose multi-window and S pen with AOSP? With root you can remove or freeze unnecessary Samsung apps. And with Nova or other launcher you don't see TW.

Yes, I'd lose multi-window and s pen. I'd like the option, however. I was after an NX10 2 but Google has decided to lose my business and I ended up with this tablet instead. I like as close to Android stock as possible. However, I MAY attempt a debloated rom at some point that keeps the useful stuff. Knox has to die, however. As does TW.

not sure about aosp but you don't lose anything with nova or apex, they just are a bit lighter then touchwiz. with root access you can freeze or remove apps, but as mentioned above, you do void your warranty

I got the tablet 2 months ago, rooted on the first day root became available. I bought SquareTrade warranty for 2 or 3 years, they cover even when rooted. No regrets. I've frozen lots of stuff, mostly use Nova, last week playing with ssLauncher, it's an amazing launcher. wow that's good info. how much was the square trade warranty?

I paid $80 for 4 years, just checked their confirmation, don't remember why I went for 4 years, I never keep gadgets that long.

Question: If you have the Note 3 already and buy the Note 10.1 2014 will you get the content free gifts added to your account still? such as dropbox 2 years, will you get an additional 2 years added to your 2 years totaling 4 years? and the Evernote subscription?

Not if you use the same email to register. I recently got a tab 3 from the Sprint deal, and got the dropbox stuff, but when I registered my Note, I did not get an additional 50gigs, I used my same email addy
