I bought a IGrip for my TB and mounted it on my windshield of my car and I was wondering if its bad for the phone to get full sun. What I noticed it gets really hot when mount it.

Yes. Not only in navigation, but any time. There is no electronic device I know of that is spec'd for operation in the temps that will occur in full sunlight.

My buddy's quit working after it over heated in the windshield.. Just FYI

Don't leave it there for too long! I have tinted windows that help prevent sun exposure but I'm a bit hesitant to mount long. Good thing I'm rarely in my car for long periods of time.
