Is it dead ?

I turned on my son's phone yesterday & if failed to boot. After charging the battery in another phone I found it would stick at the very first boot up stage with 'Samsung GALAXY S4 mini GT-I9195' on screen.
Taking the battery out (it wouldn't do anything otherwise) & trying to boot into recovery mode I got a screen full of errors.



Is there anything I should try before I bin it ?

Welcome to the forums. You can try to reflash the stock ROM, but sometimes, when storage gets corrupted enough, nothing can save it. The phone is almost 10 years old. Time for a replacement.

I agree that phone is just way too old , I think it's time to move on also .

You don't have to get the newest phone but something like a year or 2 older at least to be little more up to date .
