Is it just me that's upset about N7 32gb rumor if true?

Hmmm....so you are glad Staples was out of stock, even though you don't know if the rumor is true. wow...

I was and am on the fence about buying one, so it is not a necessity, and therefore I can wait to see what's coming next. My wife has a 32gb ipad which we have never filled, and part of the reason I bought an ipad with only 16gb. I still am very intrigued buy it, as I am an iPhone convert now loving my Galaxy S3.

I don't have a problem with things 'moving forward' but they very well could of done a 32gb version to begin with, why wait if they know people will want larger?
That's just it - they are almost certainly going to come out with a 32GB model as well, but I think it's most likely they would have ended up with an overpriced 32GB option 2 months ago. Remember, these came out in July, and Amazon is still not coming out with their 32GB version until Oct 25 at the earliest, and that $249 price is offset by ads and the lack of a wall-charger (you can optionally buy it for $10, I recall). :)

It's my understand the 8GB model has barely sold. If Amazon can do the Kindle Fire HD 16GB at $199, Google could do the Nexus 7 16GB at $199 too.
I highly doubt Google wants to lose as much money on their products to get their services out as Amazon does. However it wouldn't surprise me if the 8 and 16GB models experience a price drop and a 32GB model comes out. Even if the 8GB has "barely" sold, it's probably still sold tens of thousands of models for people who jumped at the $200 price point, and the Nexus 7 was still arguably an overall better value than any other 8GB tablet that was out at the time. :)

I actually hope they come out with one, as long as they don't release it next month and drop the price of the 8gb/16gb.

What I really want though, is like $20-30 extra for rear cam option, maybe sold exclusively thru the play store. I would really make use of one, more so than taking pictures of my face (front cam).

Why? Good marketing. Sell the stripped down version first then sell the 1 with all the bells and whistles

If you don't want the stripped down 1 don't buy it

The 16GB model costs Google about $8 more. I don't feel there would be any issue at all making the 16GB model work at $199 and the 32GB at $249.
I'm sure they've sold a few 8GB models, because people see $50 more for only 8GB more storage and have a hard time justifying that and settle. Really though, you can read almost any Nexus 7 review, they are all great reviews, but often one of the small negatives mentioned is the storage capacity.

And I'm definitely happy Google is correcting the issue. But we are humans (most of us), so I'm just saying I think it's rational for someone to be upset or maybe disappointed that this wasn't available earlier.

Fortunately for me, Google Play messed up my RMA so many times, I got a refund from them. I just bought another Nexus 7 from Walmart and should this rumor become something more substantial in the next 9 or 10 days, I could return mine and wait for the 32GB model.

Of course the more important thing is if this thing is even real at all.

I am happy for it being released, but now I am stuck with a glorified HD book reader that can't take full advantage of HD games and HD movies because of the limited space . At least put a micro SD card slot in the device for good measure . Shouldn't cost that much. Geez I'm am will to pay the 20 dollars extra for the option. That should have been an option from the start or as soon as you notice that 16gb inventory ran out faster the the 8 GB version . Do you fell the same?

By the time this comes out, the Nexus 8 will be released shortly after, which you can buy and make the N7 32GB users just as upset that they didn't wait for the N8. The circle of technological life.

16GB works for me. Adding a 64GB thumb drive via the OTG cable and Nexus Media Importer for movies works great. If I need/want more, I use my 64GB Infinity Prime with a USB port in the dock for virtually unlimited storage.

I knew it was coming from day 1. Hell if I had to guess, the 16 will probably be $200, and 32 gig will be $250. The 8 gig model hasn't been much of a hit so I think it'll probably be discontinued.

I could definitely use the 32 gigs of space, all the new games are friggen huge! 12.74 gigs of usable space doesn't get you far when every game is 1.5 to 2 gigs!

What's this rumour about using a dongle on the USB port so you can get media off a flash drive? If this works why would most people need more than 16GB? Or a card slot. Maybe it wont work for games.

I'm not upset, and I certainly hope the rumor is true because I ordered one earlier today.

I actually ordered 2, from different retailers to improve the odds of getting one. I will be livid if I wake up to cancellation messages tomorrow.

I have an 8GB Nexus 7 with 3-4GB free space. I'm very happy I had a choice not to pay an extra $50 for more space I don't need.

I have the 16gb N7 and I just got an OTG Cable for ?1.50 and a 32gb USB for ?11 and now i store all my movies and other files on that so im not annoyed about the rumoured release of the 32gb N7

I don't regret not waiting. The flyer had to go, and I waited around and only got $130 for it. If I would of sold it before the nexus came out, I would of gotten the $200 I paid for it back.

I'm happy with my 16GB N7. I think I was more upset when I sold my 64GB iPad 2 after using it for a year and a half, and hadn't even used a quarter of the storage. I don't think I would run out and get a 32GB N7, just because it sounds bigger and better. Plus, I didn't have to spend three hours in a line full of hipsters to get my Nex, I simply ordered it and it showed up at my door.

Lol my whole life I've NEVER taken advantage of extended storage via SD cards. Good cost cutting decision on Google's part imo.

This is one of the reasons I've waited for a purchase, hopefully the 32 doesn't come with the screen lifting and washout issues the other ones have

On my Samsung galaxy s3 running android 4.0

Because unlike ios, i keep my apps in app drawers, and not in infinite cluttered homescreens
