I cannot seem to put this phone down. I get excited just talking about it. Apple users always tell me that they love the simplicity of an iPhone, but my response is, "Android can be just as simple you just have the option to customize." My 73 year old Aunt prefers Android over Smartphone (aka Apple), she loves this phone too! Excuse me but I'm a phone girl, I've had every iPhone and Note with the exception of the 5. This by far is the best phone. Only con is the tempered glass. I normally keep 2-3 tempered glass on hand in case of a mishap, haven't found a solution for the Note 8 yet and I'm not feeling this Zagg HD tempered glass, it's clearly taking away from the sensitivity of the screen.

What cons have you all found about the phone? What do you live most especially coming from Apple?

I really love my phone as well. There isn't really anything that I dislike about it. The ability to customize pretty much any way I want to make it look and feel the way I want it too is priceless. I did have apple for a short time through a phone provided by work but I have since returned at now it's been a year and a half or so and I have been back on Android ever since. I am a note obsessor and this is no exception to that. Haha. And I did this whole message thread with voice text.

It's still new so eventually I'll go back to using my tablet more than the phone when I'm at home.

Dislikes: I still don't like the location of the fingerprint sensor.

I keep 2 cases and screen protectors, my current screen protector is still in place with no signs of lifting, no disruption to the screen or s-pen either.

I've never had nor ever wanted an apple device.

That's another thing, rarely did I use Siri. I use Google and voice to text all the time.

The Samsung experience and Samsung apps is what makes the note8 perfect. It is well thought out and just works.

I tried a pure android last year and I hated it and returned that device. It felt like so much was missing and you needed tomdownload a ton of apps to,fill,in them void and they did not work together well or at all.

Samsung is the key I learned.

agreed. even though I don't like all the stuff they preload, nor do I like it when they take capabilities and apps away, but other than that it is the Samsung thing that keeps me coming back. I'm on my 4th Note and have their devices all over my home so they're doing something right.

Not crazy bout the finger print sensor either. Ordered a new case, maybe it will make it easier to get to.

I have ordered two screen protectors so far and neither fit properly either because of the case on the phone or bad clarity. But I have had every iPhone and Note as well and I've never loved a phone this much!

I literally haven't found any flaws yet! This phone is so much more fun then any iPhone. I'm literally having fun all day with this thing. Bixby has even been fun. I've been getting a lot of rewards for using it and redeeming them to try and win those prizes!! Haven't won anything yet but it's fun to try and learn how to use bixby at the same time!!

Defender makes it quite easy. But Ive gotten used to the position. Had the s8 + before note

My long nails make it impossible to use my otter box defender but I love the case ugh

Samsung seems to finally have gotten some optimizations right on the software. I came from a Pixel and didn't think buttery smoothness was this possible on a Samsung

My Note 5 was buttery smooth as well. I can't remember what the Note 7 was like but I don't remember being disappointed.

I know! Almost a month in with my note 8 and no complaints. Never had a iphone. The battery life alone makes this phone worth it.

Same here, cannot put it down even at work, lol!!!

This phone is just so incredibly functional and productive that I am relying it for even more, lol!

I got the Whitestone Screen Protector, I have yet to install it though but will try this weekend

Dome glass is the best. Have it on my note 8 since September 20, and loving it. No screen sensitivity loss whatsoever. There is no better option for a curved tempered glass protector out there. I went through about $50 worth of other tempered glass protectors and they all sucked until I discovered the Whitestone Dome. If you want a glass protector - it's the only way to go. Yes it's expensive at $50, but the phone is $1000, so you make that investment once (hopefully),and enjoy the screen like it's naked (with an added bonus of fingerprints resistance). Sorry for the long post, but I'm so glad I found it (was almost ready to give up and have an unprotected screen).

I think I will invest in the dome glass.

I prefer Samsung Android to stock, but there are still some huge annoyances. Like I hate the carrier crapware. It's annoying that on my 1k phone I don't have complete and total control out of the box to remove things I don't want.

I also don't like that when AT&T decides to update my phone, they include new crapware for me to remove.

Last thing I wish would change, is I wish the security updates were timely. I think given the cost of this phone, and the fact that the S8 line and Note lines are considered flagships with premium prices, that samsung should strong arm carriers so we get the updates without their consent. That's just me though.

Other than that, I love my Note 8. It's everything my Note 7 was with some nice extras. No regrets buying this phone, I've even recommended it to people.
