What I did with this same problem was instead of leaving the phone in rice for 3 days, I used ice cream. Then I got a good charge on my battery by sticking it in my mouth then while standing in some water, I stuck my fingers in a hot toaster. Works like a charm.

I cant believe the lengths you are going to in order to avoid buying another battery for $20

You already washed a $550 phone then instead of buying another battery to try that you cut a usb cable and touched bare wires to the phone contacts? It seems like you are not sure if the washer destroyed it fully so you want to really finish it off now

If you dont wabt to buy a battery take the phone to the store and see if they have one you can try

Then call and do an insurance claim because your phone is done
