Is it normal that I get just recently started getting ads on apps that don't usually have them?

Today, I've gotten ads on my apps that don't usually have them, and I'm talking about those fullscreen ads. So far, they've appeared once on the Messages app, Instagram, and Discord, in that order. Is this normal, and is there a way to prevent this?
