Is it possible to decrease sharpening by camera?

My LG G6 produces images that look like "Unsharp Mask" has been applied too heavily on them. I cannot find a way to change anything about the camera function. Is there a way to reduce the amount of sharpening?

I posted this to another part of these forums, and got back the suggestion that "blur" was the opposite of "sharpen" in various software. To which I would reply that not applying so much sharpening in the first place, would lead to a much better result than trying to compensate for too much sharpening using blur.

Only way I am aware of is to use one of the Google camera modified apks that have been getting posted over on XDA. It can't access the wide angle camera, but it doesn't over process the pics like the stock camera.

You can also switch to manual mode and use raw, but that's not very convenient since you then need to process the raw files yourself.
