Is it possible to downgrade OS from v.4.4.2 Kit Kat to original OS 4.1.1 on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2?

My Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 OS was updated to v. 4.4.2 / Kit Kat. The resolution was inferior, so I tried to downgrade to the original v.4.1.1 using Odin3 v.3.04 and the necessary MD5 file.

The operation has failed repeatedly. I've re-downloaded all required files in case of corruption and come to the same result every time - (message copied below). Then I came across a thread that says once a phone has been updated to 4.4 it can't go back.

Currently the only display I get on my phone is "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again." It's stuck, mate.

Is there anyway to bring my phone back to life, either with OS 4.4 or, preferably, 4.1?

Samsung/AT&T and Samsung/Verizon devices have a little counter (that can't be reset, it's like a fuse) that keeps track of the latest major version flashed, and you can't go back before that. You can probably go back to 4.4.1 (or even 4.4.0, if there is one), but that's it.

If it's TMobile, I don't have one, so I can't say, but you can check in the Tab 2 section (or report your thread and ask that it be moved there). Or check on the XDA Forums Tab 2 forum for your carrier.
