Android Central Question

basically im using an app which uses a gps system. i can change which gps system it uses by changing a number in the parameter settings however there are only 3 which it can pick up, they are google maps, its own gps software or ndrive. I was wanting it to pick up karta but ive tried all numbers in the parameters (0 = its own gps, 3 = ndrive and 5 = goggle maps) but only 0 3 and 5 work. Would there be a way to edit the app and put a command in so it uses the karta app?

There are two ways to resolve such situation:

1) Contact developer and point out this issue. I assume this is a bug.

2) Search for other similar app.

Depending on how urgent you need it, approach (1) might take time (also depending on developer's willingness to act on this issue). So I would recommend to start with (2).

the app is an old app so is not supported anymore, thats why i was hoping there was a way to edit it or point it to the correct gps, also there are no other apps available without upgrading my system (but that comes at a cost of £25000 lol)

Welcome as a new member.

I’m not sure that it be permitted to do what you propose, since there would surely be legal issues, but I’ll move the thread to the Developers Lounge for more comments.

There is another way. Open Maps and download a map for the area you need - when you're on Wifi. No charge. Then use Maps and it won't use any data.

does it stay on or does it run out? wasnt sure if id read that it re downloads every 30 days. ill give that a go though best solution at the min
