Is it possible to keep the AOD ON when using a flip case?

My S8`s always online display turns itself off when I close the flip case. This is a neat feature in order to save power while having my phone inside my pocket, but it kinda ruins the purpose of having a clear case display. Is there a way to keep it always on when locket?

You could always cut out a little hole in the case where it would meet the sensor when closed, so that the sensor isn't covered and doesn't trigger screen off. This might work, but you'd be the first to test that one I'm sure. If you do try it, let us know how it goes. Otherwise, I don't think it's possible.

They actually released a update for the always on display today, allowing the clock to stay on when the case is closed. It`s not bright enough, and notifications doesn`t show up.
