Is it possible to replace the N4 battery with a more capacity one?

So I had this crazy idea!

we are all complaining about Battery Life (it's actually killing me! coming from the GS3) > But what If we could replace our Battery with say, a new, higher capacity one? Would'nt that be great!

SO. Do any of you know if it's possible?

I'm pretty sure it is possible, none have jsut been manufactured yet and it's more difficult. You have to unscrew the bottom two and it takes some time if you don't want to damage the phone and then unscrew some more to get to the battery.

If there is enough demand (minimum: tens of thousands) someone will create a kit which includes a new battery and back plate designed either for self-install or for the innumerable "we will replace your broken screen" shops found in malls and main streets everywhere you go.

Technologically, there is nothing to stop this from being done. It is all about demand and profit potential.

Possible? Yes. Probable? No.

Also keep in mind other devices, such as the Galaxy S3, have a smaller capacity battery yet seem to yield noticeably improved results. Blame Android 4.2 bugs for the sub-par battery performance before you blame any lack of capacity.

Fingers crossed for an update that addresses this issue.

It might be the larger processor or something, something something something dunno but I don't really need one myself. Only need like four hours of screen time maximum. I can just get a external portable battery charger if i want for 20 or so

Thank you for the replies... I was jw since I'd prefer a hardware change lol..

Even when and if the software fix comes out. It'd be nice to have even MORE battery life then the galaxy...

I'm looking forward to portable qi-based battery packs. Would be cool if I could have one in my pocket, and have the nexus 4 charge when it's in my pocket as well. don't care how thick it is, lots of space in a winter jacket pocket or would be great on an airplane not messing with cables..

Vaas has good portable 2100 MhZ batteries, they just look like a road and the extension is expandable and detractable (or whatever you called it) and it comes in it's own little bag.

Theoretically yes, however I think a company which makes their own batteries - LG would make a lot better batteries then a small asian backyard company.
