Android Central Question

Hello Guys and gals!

Sorry to bother with a (maybe) newbie question but I just don't find an answer on my own.

I'd like to use an existing google account to keep my phone up to date but do not want to use any of its emails or contacts, but use the ones from a EAS account instead.
Yet I don't want to remove the google services, because they are needed on a different phone.

Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance,,

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Accounts>Google, and turn off Contact and Gmail sync.

Of course, then you lose the automatic backup of your contacts. And all that comes with it, like recovering accidentally-deleted contacts, etc.
