Searched but couldn't find anything about this.

I'm getting a Verizon Pixel 6 Pro in a few days and want to set it up without activating it over a few days so I can take my time getting it ready to go as my daily phone.

Is it possible to do this on Verizon or do I have to activate the new phone as soon as I turn it on and before doing anything else?

Unless Verizon made changes in the last year I'm unaware of yes it's possible to set up and use the phone with WiFi before activation on Verizon.

Excellent and thanks! I'm upgrading from my Note 8 I got release weekend over 4 years ago so didn't have a clue how it is now with activation. That will give me a chance to completely get it set up over a few days without having to do it while using the phone at the same time.

For both prepaid and postpaid, you need a new Verizon SIM card with the IMEI for a compatible device. Verizon needs those information before the SIM card works on your Android.
