Hi all. I'm a bit bewildered at how unsuccessful I've been at finding a solution to my, what should be a pretty simple problem.

Whenever someone here, asks for an UNROOT/MAC solution, everyone keeps throwing out these "exe" files, which leads me to believe that there must be about 5 MAC owners on this whole forum! How can that be!

1. MAC computers cannot recognize "exe" files, unless a very special program is installed which hardly anyone has because you'd have to be a knucklehead to buy a MAC and then install WINDOWS!!! So please, do not throw an EXE file at me and encourage me to "try this"...it will not work.

2. I rooted by EVO (2.2) with UNREVOKED3, using the "swm-install.sh" file...All went smooth and I love the ROOT. However, I need to exchange the phone and need to UNROOT.

3. Am I to understand correctly that there is absolutely ZERO SOLUTIONS for unrooting an evo using a MAC -----WITHOUT BOOTCAMP INSTALLED------???

4. NOTHING?

5. Nothing at all????

6. Zip?

7. Zilch???

8. Nada????

If anyone can help me, I'll send ya out a brand new OTTERBOX DEFENDER CASE for the EVO!!! $50 value!!! ...along with my sincerest appreciation!

Remember...please....NO EXE FILES!!!!! Thank you. Peace!

Yes....see this thread over at XDA.

I don't know why this method doesn't get more exposure here on AC. I think it's actually easier than using the RUU method. You could actually do this without any computer at all if you really wanted to because you could just use your EVO to download the files.
