Hello. I need to create a hotspot with android (samsung galaxy zfold5) from a nearby network to my place, and share the connection with another person. Is there a device to do that or a type C usb dongle to receive >(or transmit)? Thanks a lot.

Welcome to Android Central forums.

As you point out it is not possible to receive WiFi while also sharing an internet connection. I would also risk saying that no device is going to allow hot spot sharing while receiving data from a dongle. At the point you're willing to purchase a dongle why can't the other device just use the WiFi or use the dongle? Why do you need to do it this way?

There used to be videos on YouTube about how to share your devices network using a cable. I did this for some time with a laptop but I'm not sure if a cellular device can get network from a wired connection. If anyone is doing it you're more than likely to find it on YT.

THANK YOU very much for your help. I made a TERRIBLE mistake in this post and confused the phones I have. I will now explain better my intentions in detail.
-The condition is: I have a Philips Smart TV in the living room with IPTV installed but have no Internet and I only live there 2 month per year. There is a free public wifi nearby with NO login. It was a public project that required authentication but the project ended and they kept it without logins. My walls are thick and I can´t get signal inside NOT EVEN cellphone signal (thats amazing). I only have to move 5 Meters to the window to have both with pretty good conditions. I also have the IPTV APP installed on my cellphone but its not good idea to see on data mobile because I dont have unlimited data, I have 30gb per month and a footbaal game costs 4 gb of traffic. Anyway the solutions see to be quite as few except if you have a btter one eheheh:

1- (my mistake). I have a Huawei phone with android 8 and in a perfect world I just put it on the window (a little outside, can get rain), pickup the free internet and hotspot it to the TV and my other phone, the new Samsung Galaxy Zfold5. Its not possible with the Huawei but IT WAS with my Samsung yesterday, the hotspot worked and I could see TV without many fails.. so...so far....."problem solved". Its not very practical but its better than nothing?
2-I have a USB 10 meters long and could connect it to a laptop with a USB wifi pen outside to make hotspot.
3-I could also use a Ubiquiti antena to pickup signal and create a lan inside the house..so..

I think so far I will keep to the Samsung phone solution but, in a perfect world there will be some kind of Android whaterproof box or maybe a better phone inside a waterproof box with a small powerbank to last a few good hours..what do you think about this ideia?? If such thing doesnt exist I can get a cheaper better phone just to be inside the box, is this thinking "outside the box" or not?? LOLOLOL
:)

It sounds like you want a WiFi repeater. Have you considered just getting a wifi repeater? They are pretty reasonable in price and you might have an outlet near that window you spoke of that could catch and repeat the signal for the whole apartment. This also would allow you to make wifi calls.

I found this video that talks about using a smartphone as a repeater since you have the extra phone. I didn't watch it so there may be limitations and it may require a phone of a certain level but I cannot say having not watched the video.

When you enable hotspotting on your phone, tap on it in the Settings menu to open up its contextual options menu. Is there a Bluetooth Tethering option and a USB Tethering option?
One or the other should allow you to remotely connect your phone to your TV wirelessly.
But using a phone hotspot for TV streaming video content can get pricey. Or presumably your carrier account provides unlimited mobile data so that's not an issue?

Also, regarding free public WiFi networks -- they're notable for not being very secure nor very private. Really, don't take it for granted you're safe using public WiFi. So watching a movie isn't much of an issue but do your online banking and social media interactions using your own cellular service.
