is it possible web camera for scanning an barcode image in web application?

Hi, i have developed an web application and accessing it in android tab. the application is working fine in chrome.there is one text box in the application where i need to get bar code scanner value using web camera of the tablet.
I just want whether this is possible or not.If yes, please share some referrals to this request.
