Is it safe to update?

Hi there,
I live in Lebanon and i have the galaxy s4 gt i9500. I flashed the russian kitkat sammobile rom via odin.
Now I received a 77MB update. As i know, if i flashed other country's firmware i won't receive OTA updates.
So is it safe to update?
