Is it safe to use a 250GB Micro SD

Alright I'm not being ridiculous I know the limits, what happened was I bought a 128GB Micro SD from ebay and they gave me 256GB card strangely? Who accidentally gives someone a higher GB card?!

I was first angry thinking my phone wouldn't be able to handle it because I read S5 only handles up to 128GB. But I have tested it and it seems to be working fine I've tried recording long videos with it, and everything and it recognizes "250GB" in storage settings.

So it does work. I'm just scared it's going to one day stop working. :'(
let's just hope I came across a awesome discovery

P.s Since people are usually confused why anyone would need that much storage space it's because I have over 40GB of music that I actually use. And recording HD videos takes up so much space, so it would be awesome to record a lot without having to take it off my phone to record more....

First and foremost, in light of your first paragraph, have you checked to make sure that it is a genuine 256GB micro SDcard?

In answer to your question, all the Samsung Galaxy S5 spec's state that the maximum size of SD card is 128GB. This is probably because those spec's were written at a time when 128GB was the largest card available. The problem is that you possibly will not know if it can take 256GB until you pass the 128GB mark or if it has a slow read/write speed of say, class 2, 4 or 6, whether it becomes impractical to use.

I would suggest checking out the authenticity of the card and it UHS/class before use.
