Hey my fellow android peeps, here a question!?
Is it stupid to carry 2 devices?
My main device is a foldable, iive used the Samsung flips since version 2. I am using the ZFLIP4 now and looove this device.

However I'm thinking about getting a ZFOLD4 or PIXEL 7 PRO to be a secondary device, I need higher pic quality, a device to stream steam games, and access to full screen scheduling, multimedia and surfing.

I've never carried 2 devices ever and is it really a thing?

I think a lot of people carry 2 devices. Sometimes, it's a matter of one for personal & one for work. Other times, it's just for fun. There's probably lots of reasons to carry more than one device.

I don't think it's stupid at all.
:)

Many people who are required to have a work phone carry a 2nd phone that they use as personal.

If you go down that road, before long you'll need Chewbacca's bandolier to carry all of your phones (which would look pretty cool).:p

I ended up buying a Tommy Hilfiger pack for my Philippines trip. LOL

My family and friends do laugh whenever they see me with my two phones. Off course, the question is always why?

Easy. I love my phones.

Nothing stupid about carrying two phones...

Carrying 3 or all 4 of my phones, yes that would be stupid! LOL

Not stupid at all! To each their own!....

I have/had carry 2 phones. For me, more so on the weekends when I'm out and about, and it's usually for photo opportunities (pixel phone- my kids games, outings, trips, etc.)

Rock 2 phones and don't look back!!! Wooooo!!!

I have had at least two phones at one time for many years. In the last few years it was an iPhone and Android phone. And right now it is two Android phones. I like to have a backup phone and a main phone. My main phone generally costs more. The reason I have had a backup phone is that it is cheaper than insurance. It is faster if I have a problem I can easily and quickly just swap out the sim card.

This practice has saved me on numerous occasions plus it is a lot more fun to have two devices than have one and pay for insurance.

When I'm in town "no" but when I'm traveling I always have my back-up in my backpack.

Not stupid. As others have noted, it's often required due to circumstances.

I don't carry 2 phones at a time. I have one as a backup or when I want to change sims.

You do you. They are your phones. Carry them both if you want to. Nobody else should care.

So the second phone is it a burner phone or for making illicit deals? :p:p j/k

It is ABSOLUTELY a thing that many users here do! And then there are people like me who dream of being able to do that one day! I say go for. it!

I have a Pixel 7 Pro, which I like very much, and a Pixel 5.

The 7 Pro is my regular Googly phone, and the 5 is my ”out in the real world” phone. It runs GrapheneOS, has very few apps, and (obviously) no trace of Google.

You have to give up a lot of stuff that many think they can’t live without, in order to go “Googleless”.

So yes, I have two devices, but I usually only carry one, as it’s kind of dumb for me to carry both, since that defeats the whole purpose of going Googleless.

It's nothing weird having 2 phones. Some people here have even more than 2. If you want to get another phone you should go for it. Whatever you want as your 2nd phone is your choice what you prefer.

Some even use a fanny pack for their phones.

Not my cup of tea. I'm a one phone per pocket kinda guy....

Suppose that you carry an iPhone. Should you lose or misplace it - and you will - how can you immediately locate it except by using another iPhone? The same with Androids. So, if you like to use both iPhones and Androids at the same time - and we do - four phones will be the obvious minimum.
We may be fools - and we are - but we’re not fools.
