Is Motorola Connect working for you?

Hi,

I had it working when I first installed Chrome, but Chrome was crashing on the pop ups sometimes. Then I had some intermittent problems. Now incoming calls pop up consistently but I get no pop ups for texts. I can text with it if I open the window manually though.

Is Connect working correctly for you guys?

I've been using it all day with no issues. No crashes and SMS alerts are showing up correctly.

This is frustrating. I've been on with Motorola tier 3 support and they have no clue. I really don't think it's my phone and as such, I don't want to do a reset on it after only having it for a week. Calls poping up fine and no SMS is weird!

Have you tried just disconnecting/reconnecting Motorola Connect? Uninstall/reinstall the extension?

Factory reset might be a good idea. Or do you have another computer you can try it on?

Yeah, I would suggest testing it on another computer as well. I have been using mine with no issues. Could very well be an issue with the computer. You may also want to uninstall/reinstall Chrome.

Same here. Occasionally it will act up. It will just disconnect and won't reconnect but after any random number of minutes it will just start working again.

Thanks for the responses. I have tried Chrome on another computer. I have a separate issue with Chrome where text is hard to read on some pages, which isn't the case on my alternate machine, so I had hope. However the text not popping up scenario is the same on both machines. Interestingly, when I open the messaging window manually, I can get it to work. IOW, it sends and receives texts, and updates to what's currently on the phone, albeit kinda slowly.

Both machines have XP pro, I wonder if the problem is connected to my operating system. Anybody out there using XP successfully? Thanks.

I've had problems with connect as well. It refuses to connect whenever the phone is on wifi, and will only intermittently connect when the wifi is turned off.

I've been using it on XP and a Win 7 Enterprise machine with no issues.

Working for the most part on OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion (tested on 3 different computers), but with the random disconnect issue described benhmadison and Anthony_NE. I haven't tested with my Linux system yet.
