Hi all,
I just made the switch to Android, going from an iPhone 5 to an LG G3. The phone's been great so far, but I've been noticing a few issues and I'm not sure if they're a cause for concern...
I bought my G3 on Verizon wireless, and the bloatware is constantly using up my ram (2gb is used almost all of the time), but I'm still getting used to Android overall so I'm not entirely sure which of these I can disable. I've already disabled the amazon app as well as it's music app, as they were draining my battery life when I wasn't even signed in.
I'm still within the 14-day trial window so I was thinking of going back and swapping my phone for a new one, but I wanted to get a few opinions first. Here's my questions:
Has anyone else experienced lag on the G3? I've heard a mix of responses already, but the majority of users seem to have little to no lag.
Once I figure out the issue with my contacts, I will do a factory reset and see if that makes any difference. I know I'm asking a ton of questions, but I appreciate any help I can get.
Thank you! Let me know if you need me to clarify on anything.

- Lag: there's definitely a little bit of lag on my G3. It mostly happens when I'm switching between apps.
- Lock Screen: sometimes my tap-to-wake feature doesn't respond at all, and other times when I go to view the lock screen, my homescreen will come up then quickly fix itself back to the lock screen.
- Keyboard troubles: I'm using Textra as my default sms app. The keyboard does not always pop up right away and every so often, I will get a message saying "Unfortunately, LG Keyboard has stopped". This happens across the board, not just in Textra. I only got the phone this past Monday, so this one in particular is worrying me.
- Contacts won't sync: ever since I transferred my contacts from iCloud to Google, it is no longer syncing. I've merged contacts and added a few new ones, and I don't want to lose these changes.

- What's going on with my lock screen?
- I have no idea what to do about the keyboard. Maybe I could download a different type?
- I'm assuming that the contacts issue is a problem with my Google account and not the G3, but do you know of any ways to fix this? I've saved all new contacts to my account, and not the phone's memory.
- For those of you on Verizon, what apps are okay for me to disable?
- And finally, should I just exchange my G3 for a new one?
