Hi guys,

So, I was sending a text about a week ago and my Samsung Galaxy Note 4, (T-Mobile branded) froze up then rebooted. As it was restarting it restarted again and again and again. Sometimes it made it to the password screen sometimes not.

So here are the things I have done to try to fix it.

1) clear cache. no change...
2) tried a different battery. no change...
3) Samsung guys at Best Buy "reset the software". no change...
4) Samsung guys at Best Buy factory re-imaged it. no change...

Is it dead forever? Any other things I can try that don't cost money? ...sounds like it is hardware issue, true?

You went right to the end of the firmware troubleshooting chain. The reload would have fixed a firmware issue. If the OS was reloaded from a new image, and the issue remains, there's nothing left but hardware.

You could contact Samsung to see if they would fix your Note, but the cost could be more than your out of pocket cost to replace it with something new on a carrier deal. If you wind up replacing the device and you want the latest Note, I recently saw in another thread that T-Mobile has the refurbished Note 5 (32GB) for $395. You can find them used on Swappa for between $300 and $400.
