I heard the Verizon Note 2s can be international. How do I tell if it is?

They are international - You do have to select the international feature but it's no charge.

I'll be interested to see if/when someone throws an ATT or TMOB SIM in it to see if they're unlocked from the factory. It's really nice to be able to just throw a prepaid SIM in when traveling - no hassles or nasty surprises that way.

Not to mention much cheaper than what Verizon would charge.

that's the "nasty surprise" to be avoided :p Last time it wasn't a big deal on an iPhone with AT&T when I was going to Germany. Called, they gave me unlock code, I disabled data roaming on cellular and was good to go. The prepaid SIM handled phone duty and then if I needed data I would make sure I was on someone else's wi-fi to skype.
